What this is
EqualGlobe is a free, independent educational project. It isn't a company, it doesn't have a paid tier, and using it doesn't create any account or contract beyond agreeing to these terms.
Using the map
Use it, share a link to a specific view, screenshot it, use it in a classroom or a presentation. That's what it's for. Please don't scrape or bulk-download the underlying data through the site faster than a normal visitor would. The raw sources (Natural Earth, OpenStreetMap) are public and freely available directly from their own projects, linked below.
Accuracy
Country and region areas are computed from real geometry (Natural Earth's boundary data), not hand-typed figures, and match the sources cited on the About page, but boundaries, especially disputed ones, are simplified for rendering and areas are therefore approximate, not survey grade. Don't rely on this map for anything where the exact figure matters (legal, navigational, or official use); for that, go to a primary source.
Disputed and limited-recognition territories are drawn with a dashed outline and labelled as such, following Natural Earth's own de facto boundary policy. Showing a territory a particular way is not a political statement by this project.
No warranty
The map is provided as is, free of charge, with no guarantee it will be available, accurate, or error free at any given moment. It's built and maintained as time allows.

These terms may change as the project grows. The date at the top of this page always reflects the last real change, not a routine bump.
